We are looking for a professional and outgoing PMO/Account Director from a digital agency background to join our client's new in-house Content studio. The person will be very familiar with all aspects of the digital marketing mix.
The candidate is a representative of the Content Studio team and will be integrated into the client’s Agile Value Stream team where many different client capabilities are represented (e.g. IT, Legal, Brand Management, Digital, Analytics, Scrum, etc).
As part of the client’s Agile Value Stream team, look to create best possible outcomes to deliver the targets set for the Agile Value Stream. To be successful, grasping the commercial aspects of the business, developing effective relationships with all stakeholders, take lead in being the advisor of (Campaign) Content, and be a collaborative team player to deliver against the plan – a must.
As part of the Content Studio, work closely with the Strategy and Creative teams to ensure we are delivering best-in-class digital and offline content to respond to the commercial needs, helping to build the brand, making it more relevant for consumers and thus creation campaigns that standout for our client.
We are looking for an integrated thinker, well versed in the strategic discipline of online and offline marketing in Japan, who puts the consumer at the heart of everything she or he does. The role will suit somebody commercially savvy, able to advise requests into requirements for campaigns & content, project management skills, familiar with Japan media ecosystem and understands the MarTech platform speak; Is familiar with how content work online/ offline.
Skills and Experience Required
8 years of experience in agencies with focus on digital work from which 4 years of experience in a leadership role like Account Director or Program Director
Commercially savvy. Able to grasp the business, its operating environment and performance.
Able to advise requests into requirements for campaign & content
Able to understand the various facets of project planning and timeline management (from various teams/ functions) and translate that through strong Project management skills.
Familiar with Japan media ecosystem, understands the platform speak
Familiar with how content works online/ offline
Good judgement on when to manage upwards, downwards & across disciplines
Good commercial awareness of the industry and clients regulated operating environment
Able to shape strategy and understand the roles of each channel within the campaign eco-system for Japan to drive customers to take the desired action
Has a clear view of how data processes and segmentation works, and how this influences and underpins the strategy.
Able to read and interpret performance trends/ data (e.g. Digital, Media, Search, CRM, Sales); pull insights and translate them into Content requirements for performance optimization.
Understands the role of test and learn plays in optimising campaign effectiveness
Isn’t afraid to challenge but knows which battles to fight when it comes to protecting work
Adept at connecting creative ideas across disparate digital channels
- Japanese native preferred. Able to read, write and carry out business conversations with clients and clients’ partners in Japanese.
