Position Overview

The Strategy director of Data and Insight needs to be able to think and talk business strategies, brand strategies, customer engagement and appreciate creative. He / she is passionate about data and consumer insight and business intelligence that can be mined from data. He/she needs to be able to ‘humanize’ data and unlock the value of data for clients and the rest of the agency.

· Oversee the Insight & Data analytics work and deliver. This means crafting data and insight generation that address client’s business challenges and needs, and leading other team members of various expertise to deliver that client need whether data is the final output or not.

· Work closely with Strategist and clients to find business and marketing opportunities, and identify data and insight solutions that will help meet clients’ business and growth ambition.

· Provide support to answer business questions around competitive intelligence, customer insight (especially how to find innovative ways to get consumer insight) and segmentation, business growth opportunities, and marketing effectiveness

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

l Provide data driven insight, strategy, and tools to support Commerce, CRM, and Customer Experience, campaign, and content. l Enable customer, market, channel, product and brand understanding and deliver actionable insight to internal teams (account teams, planners, analysts, technologists, PMs, and creatives) and/or client teams. l Identify opportunities (markets, consumer segment, products) leveraging data to help client’s business growth l Design & Manage integrated analytics strategy/approach to create measurement frameworks, scorecards and reports that synthesize data (attitudinal and behavioral) to accurately deliver on client’s business objectives. l Translate marketing and business objectives/challenges into data strategy, approaches, analysis, and work flows.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Logical in business thinking, perseverant in finding truths from data

· Must be an excellent presenter and communicator in front of the clients and internal cross functional team

· Must be able to create convincing storylines both in pre-sale process and delivery work

· Must be able to provide data strategy and insight generation across all online and offline customer touch points, fuel journey creation, ROI modelling etc.

· Must possess qualities of a good Strategist: self-confident, trustworthy, team-work spirit, ability to influence, flexible and adaptive

· Trigger creative thinking through customer insights

· Help to demonstrate the importance of creative thinking

· Proven analytical/problem solving skills but with strategic thinking.

 

Required behavioral attributes:

Business savvy as well as data savvy. Excellent communicator and presenter. Open-minded to adopt and learn new things. Prior client-facing experience is a must. Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities is a must. 

 

Specific tool knowledge:

Experience with Data Reporting tools desired. Experienced on data related product development and promotion. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing requirements and excellent prioritization and decision-making skills.

 

Academic requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, economics, business, mathematics, information systems, or related field with at least 5 years of solid hands on experience in data analysis, digital analytics, designing reports. CRM/user management/commerce data analytics experience desired. Statistic modeling nice to have.
