Program Directors bring value to our clients by passionately and professionally serving the best interests of our clients and agency by scoping, planning and managing the effective and efficient delivery of our integrated solutions; campaigns, events, experiences, platforms, content, products and services.  


PDs are an invaluable resource to and active participants in the client Quartets. They provide strategic advice and tactical measures to develop and manage scopes of work, codify and assign briefs by work type and integrate mega businesses, experts group and activate critical partnerships to deliver maximum impact and efficiency. 


They interrogate client briefs to identify core business challenges and customer value points. They then use that information to recommend, implement, and drive best practices, including running triage on major briefs to ensure all key stakeholders are engaged at the start and a rigorous governance framework continued success. 


They manage their designated Client Group's (CG) operational aspects in collaboration with CG leads/senior account leads and Commercial partners. They help phase CG revenue (forecast + pipeline) and balance with adequate and effective resource structures from Strategy, Creative, Production and other critical partners to deliver revenue and margin targets. They help track phased revenue against client scopes of work every month and adjust the scope for Quarterly Revenue Forecasts (QXRF) reporting and meetings. 


They help Program Managers and Senior Program Managers prepare business cases for additional investments in resources and external services. They also track all approved cases and make adjustments to revenue targets to recover investments to maintain revenue and margin targets at a CG level. 


They are highly organized and accountable and can build relationships and collaborate with/draw on all Ogilvy's mega businesses, expert groups and partnerships to deliver best-in-class integrated solutions with maximum impact and efficiency. 


They are the trusted partner and point of contact for senior/executive-level clients, partnering with account leadership to deliver operational efficiencies, delivery excellence and Delivery governance.


  • Participate in client Quartet structures as the Delivery lead to scope, plan and manage annual scopes and programs work with maximum efficiency and impact 
  • Day-to-day project contact with senior/executive-level clients and other agency partners to manage the logistical aspects of project delivery 
  • Own/champion/enforce agency core process (Think/Create/Realise/Optimise) 
  • Reviewing all large scopes of work developed by less senior members of the team and advising based on mandatory customer/business outcomes and creative ambitions, assessed against client budgets and timelines 
  • Effective scope management and communicating change requests, and managing scope-creep to avoid missed deadlines and cost overages 
  • Ensure all agency briefs are complete and clear (context, mandatory information, deliverables, timelines, budgets etc.) before engaging managed resources 
  • Enforce internal Quality Assurance (QA) processes and measure to avoid/minimise duplication of effort and protect agency reputation 
  • Co-own (with Account Management) the CGs revenue forecast and phasing to manage resources investments and overall CG profitability  
  • Develop and maintain clear and complete Statement of Work (SoW) and Functional/Technical documentation (tech projects) 
  • Review and approval of all major SoW and Technical Documentation prepared by less senior team members 
  • Effectively present and justify SoW, including timelines, budgets, resource plans and general delivery ecosystems (integrations and partnerships) 
  • Maintain up-to-date resource and project information in Delivery Power Tools (SmartSheets/ 10Kfeet) for effective, data-informed project and resource management and reporting 
  • Identify potential project risks and developing contingency plans 
  • Manage a team of PMs, SPMs and PMO Interns within their designated Client Group (CG); career development and performance management 
  • Serve as a mentor/coach to more junior team members and supporting the development of future Program and Account Managers 
  • Help facilitate and maintain a collaborative and inclusive work environment where diversity and talent, and flexibility in workflows become key strengths in driving highly creative, effective and efficient outcomes 
  • Understand & respect every department’s role in delivering great work and building relationships.


  • 7 – 10 years of related experience in program/project/account managementwith client facing industry experience managing “the making” and delivery of great work 
  • Demonstrable team management experience, with combined minimum of 3 years managing a team(s) of 3+ direct reports at one time during their career 
  • At least 2 formal qualification/certification in Professional Program/Project Management (or equivalentsuch as Agile Certified Professional (ACP) SCRUM, Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)   
  • Experienced in delivering programs of work and integrated campaigns in minimum 5 of the following verticals (not necessarily on the same project): Brand Development, B2C/B2B Advertising, Content MarketingRetail, CPG, Digital/Social Advertising, Digital Transformation, Technology Platforms, PR & Influence, Experience Design, Events and Experiential Marketing, Integrated Production 
  • Demonstrable experience in senior/executive client relationship management  
  • Demonstrable experience in integrated, digital and traditional production 
  • Demonstrable capability to deliver integrated projects with multiple deliverables and stakeholder within allocated timelines and budgets 
  • Working knowledge of Agency operations, including Finance and Commercial processes and compliance frameworks 
  • An in-depth understanding and appreciation of the ‘creative’ process – championing great work 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of client-side marketing operations 
  • Experience forming strong relationships at all levels, internal and with clients/partners 
  • Proven negotiation skills  
  • Demonstrable risk assessment, mitigation and management experience (project level) 
  • Curious, a lifelong learnergood listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well and adapts their style and response accordingly 
  • Calm and confident under pressure 
  • Well-organised, punctual and accountable with great presentation skills
