Overview

The Role

The ideal candidate will be a highly conceptual thinker and storyteller with a passion for the written craft, having the ability to solve complex problems creatively and collaboratively through a variety of digital touchpoints.

 

He/she will be required to originate creative ideas/concepts for various projects and craft the copy that clearly communicates these ideas to the end user.

The work will be a mix of short and long copy depending on the media, for example social posts will require tightly crafted lines whereas longer form communications such as websites will need significantly more detail.

 

They will have been working in a similar position at a creative agency for at least 3 years, be hands on, and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

 

They must instinctively think digital and have experience of all aspects of the digital comms mix including social, content, CRM and content film

 

Strong communication skills are obviously essential, and they should use their very clear communication and problem-solving skills to navigate the agency and the client environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating social, content, CRM, and various digital ad concepts, often in partnership with the art director / designer, and writing copy that brings it to life
  • Inspecting and complying with brand tone of voice guidelines
  • Applying precise attention to detail and determination to bring craft and quality to the creative work
  • Bringing a strong working knowledge of how copy must evolve and adapt to suit different media
  • Creating and maintaining a consistent and adaptable brand tone of voice.
  • Translating specialist expertise into language appropriate for a customer audience.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required

  • Creative excellence is essential. Plus, you must have dedication, persistence, and passion for the speed and evolution of digital media. Your knowledge of the integrated platforms should be deep enough that you know how to push them to their limits.
  • Have been working in a similar position for at least 3 years, be hands on, and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team, in a faced paced atmosphere.
  • Having precise attention to detail and determination to bring craft and quality to the creative work
  • Bringing a strong working knowledge of how copy must evolve and adapt to suit different media
  • Creating and maintaining a consistent and adaptable brand tone of voice.
  • Translating specialist expertise into language appropriate for a customer audience.

  • Self-starting, proactive and prepared to put in the hard yards to deliver excellent creative output
  • Believe you can be persuasive/a great pitcher. A great idea only represents 50% of the job.  Selling it internally and to the client is the other 50%
  • Work closely with other members of the team to ensure the highest standard of creative output which delivers against key objectives

 

Language Skills

  • Japanese (Native)
  • English (Conversational preferred)
