The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and for the output of Ogilvy’s integrated creative activities. He/She must use his/her experience and discipline to drive constant improvement. The job scope covers: Client service, development of customer insights based on data, development of communication strategies and campaign plans, supervision of campaign executions, project management, quality controls, and reporting. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

 

Client Management 

  • Manage and ensure quality of our client services 
  • Management and handling of key client briefs, projects and requests, including the refinement of the above 
  • Typical day-to-day management of clients and their requests including presentations, documentation, client activity administration, etc. 
  • Key person supervising the excellence of projects; effectively manage and interpret Client feedback; guide/lead Account Executives to implement projects smoothly and effectively 
  • Support line manager in developing initiatives for new business or extending existing business 
  • Financial control of billings and 3rd party costs 
  • Write/proofread major communications materials including executive internal memos, executive speeches, Q&A, sensitive topic statements, pitch docs or press releases 
  • Cultivate high-level contacts within business and industry relations 
  • Lead major offline activities/events and overall quality control 

  

Creative Leadership 

  • Drive the right Client briefs for internal stakeholders, mainly strategy, creative and delivery teams 
  • Take ownership of the quality of creative responses in conjunction with Associate Creative Director and Creative Director 
  • Ensure creative team motivation and working processes 
  • Oversee project briefings (both written & actual briefing) & client approval 
  • Provide creative judgement 

 

Strategy 

  • Provide Clients counsel in the development of successful customer management strategies 
  • Understand industry/market trends and the success factors critical to the organization’s long-term sustainability and competitiveness 
  • Be able to conduct project planning and reporting, and support line managers with campaign planning as well as strategic annual or quarterly plans 
  • Modify proposals based on changing business conditions 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and social platforms and demonstrate understanding of how they can be integrated into communications programs  
  • For certain clients, assist in developing media relations strategy, seeking placements in print, broadcast and online media 

  

Leadership & People Management 

  • Develop working relationships with Account Executives to ensure that once briefed the campaign/project moves forward smoothly 
  • Work with Senior AM an Business Director to project future account team personnel requirements and overcome any existing issues 
  • Assume responsibility. Proactive and energetic working attitude, and always be positive 
  • Take responsibility for management and motivation of account team members to allow them to achieve their maximum potential 
  • Abide by the WPP code of business conduct 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications or related field; industry experience preferred 
  • Have experience working in KOL or digital agency, and familiar with influencer marketing industry is a big plus
  • Professional writing skills, strong presentation capabilities 
  • Good command of English speaking and writing skills 
  • An independent worker that works well on a team and can be proactive and a self-starter 
  • Detail-oriented, organized and dedicated; proactive and enthusiastic with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines; a quick learner 
  • Advanced knowledge of working software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
