  • Overview

    Digital strategist is responsible for the successful planning and implementation of digital communication solutions for our clients.​ They help to create overall advertising, marketing and digital product development tactics that bridge web, mobile, email, and other digital media.​ They will partner with traditional marketing strategists to direct how brands are expressed through digital interactions.

     

    The role demands a keen awareness of digital trends, a proficiency in user experience and journey design, a capability in information architecture, appreciate the importance of content planning and strategy. Strong understanding of digital channel usability and execution approach.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities
    The Digital strategist have a key role in proposing digital strategy to our agency clients, and will partner closely with the agency’s account servicing, creative and technical teams in that new business effort.​ This requires evaluating consumer and industry research, brand information, digital trends and relevant technical and user requirements in order to recommend digital solutions.​ Their strategy will guide digital implementation executed by multi-disciplinary teams of the agency.

     

    The Role

    • Work with the account and creative disciplines in developing and presenting overall digital marketing solutions and roadmap to existing and new business clients
    • Conduct strategic studies and provide analytical solutions to support key site development initiatives (competitive analysis, audience analysis, prioritization exercises, business case support)
    • Possess an understanding of web analytics, develop key insights and assess the impact of recommendations on site performance and client business objectives
    • Provide ongoing updates to project team of industry trends, issues, site features and best practices
    • Support client presentations and business development efforts with strategic thinking, research and analysis
    • Assist the account teams in the formation of the project budgets, schedules, and risk assessment

    Qualifications

    Key Characteristics

    • A passion for accountable marketing, relationship marketing, advertising, innovation and emerging digital marketing technologies
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with digital communication and product/portal development
    • Understanding and hands on experience for the analytic, technical, creative and strategic influences on project planning and delivery
    • A command of digital marketing best practices, with an ability to incorporate them into implementation
    • Adaptability working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
    • Excellent communication skills, including strong presentation and customer skills
    • Involved and engaged in the digital marketing industry—participation in relevant professional organizations a plus

     

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related marketing/communication or technology field
    • At least 2 years of digital planning experience, website development processes in a digital agency
    • Management experience
    • Strong understanding of user research, user-centered design principles and online consumer behavior
    • Experience and expertise in several of the following: Digital Media, E-commerce, Social Media, Mobile, Online Advertising, portal, Information Architecture, and User Experience Design is desired
    • Must be capable in information architecture, user experience design, content planning strategy and web statistics reporting tools
    • Strong customer, presentation and communication skills are a MUST
