Overview

Channel strategists are tasked to efficiently use client’s media budget across different digital channels considering the marketing/business objective(s). This is made possible by carefully planning media channels to prioritise in relation to the digital media behaviour of the target market, business/marketing objectives, among others.

Responsibilities

Channel strategists are expected to do the following tasks (but not limited to) to get optimum results:

 

PLANNING

  • Researching about the target market and digital channels (e.g. Facebook, Google Search)
    • This includes maximizing available tools for data gathering.
  • Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of digital channels and ad formats
  • Crafting a digital channel strategy to inspire and guide creative and tactical executions 
  • Creating a media plan that enumerates channels, ad formats and KPIs
  • Presenting plans to clients (includes pitches as well)

CAMPAIGN IMPLEMENTATION

  • Implementing the ads based on the signed media plan
  • Monitoring performance of ads and apply necessary changes to improve results
  • Reporting of results (closely working with analysts)
  • Processing client and finance documents pre and post campaign (for some instances, monthly for always-on campaigns)

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General degree holder with at least 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity or equivalent experience
  • Able to build strategic partnerships
  • Good communication skills
  • Planning and organizing skills
  • Ability to drive results
