  • Overview

    Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the books and records that supports the Company’s general ledger and related sub-ledgers related to revenue accounts. This includes establishing internal controls and procedures for all of the Company’s routine, non-routine, and estimation data processes affecting the revenue accounts.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

     

    1. Records:
    • Accrued revenue
    • Reversal of Accrued Revenue
    • Revenue adjustments
    • Deferred revenues
    1. Prepares Monthly Accrued, Deferred Revenues; and Work-in-Progress Ageing schedule.
    2. Prepares Monthly Revenue Schedule.
    3. Prepares monthly client profitability reports.
    4. Control and reconcile revenue-related Balance Sheet accounts.
    5. Prepares variance analysis on revenue-related accounts (Accrued revenues, revenues and WIP).
    6. Records intercompany transactions.
    7. Prepares Intercompany receivables/payables ageing and schedule.
    8. Performs initial Working Capital analysis.
    9. SOX Compliance
      • Ensures effective internal controls within area of responsibility
    1. Assists in the external and internal audit process by preparing schedules and analyses in revenues while addressing questions that arise during company audits
    1. Assist Compliance and Reporting Team with technical research on complex revenue accounting and tax issues.
    2. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
    • Recommends process improvements within area of responsibilities;
    • Orient new Finance Department staff in terms of current revenue process of the department.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with management, employees and external contacts.

    Qualifications

    Skills, knowledge, qualifications:

    • CPA with at least two years of strong Bookkeeping and Financial reporting experience
    • Positive attitude and aptitude for change
    • Record of displaying initiative and innovative ideas
    • Strong communication, collaboration problem-solving and decision making skills
    • Advanced IT Skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Organized and analytical
    • Strong attention to details
