    Responsibilities

    The Role

     

    A leader to head Ogilvy Japan’s digital strategy practice.

    The digital strategy team is essential to the overall agency’s transformation and growth.

     

    The team is a collection of specialists who deliver the following services:

     

    • Digital strategy consulting
    • UX/UI digital experience design
    • Marketing technology project management
    • Data and analytics
    • Influencer and content marketing
    • Search and programmatic marketing

     

    It is the team leader’s responsibility to realize these capabilities through the Ogilvy OS to drive client transformation and success.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    The ideal candidate will grow, inspire, manage, and lead the discipline by:

     

    • scaling digital service revenue, increasing digital % of overall agency revenue
    • attracting/retaining/growing market-leading talent across service areas
    • enabling internal stakeholders as sellers and advocates of available digital services
    • thinking forward about new service areas, and developing ideas into thought leadership and tangible offerings
    • identifying and partnering with external martech/adtech/platform/media companies to realize the full potential of agency’s digital capability

     

    Context

     

    The digital strategy team is fast-growing. It currently has 14 members and expects to reach 20 by the end of 2018.

     

    Team members are highly specialized into areas that are not fully sympathetic, so cross-team connection devices are constantly needed, along with a “tolerate genius” mindset. 

     

    The digital strategy team operates within the larger brand planning and brand strategy community at Ogilvy Japan, requiring intra-preneurship and instinct to collaborate.

    Qualifications

    Work Experience

    +12 years of operating experience in digital strategy/marketing space

     

    Required Skills

    • Deep working knowledge of digital strategy (customer personas, journey maps, engagement plans)
    • Ability to motivate and manage a team of highly-specialized subject matter experts
    • Strong connections and experience within the Japan digital marketing ecosystem
