  • Overview

    The Account Director leads strategy and business development on key accounts, ensuring excellence in the level of service, whilst directing the agency’s longer-term relationship with the Client. The Account Director acts as a partner in developing strategy, adding value to the Client’s business and is the Client’s first point of contact on strategic, creative and resource. The AD is also a mentor for the more junior members of the Account team, providing support and consultancy on their day to day job.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the smooth running of the account – operationally and financially – and is accountable for these to the clients and to the Global Business Director/Head of Account Management.
    • Builds strong relationships with clients. Also has a deep understanding of the clients’ business, of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and industries. Leverages this knowledge to grow assignments & revenue.
    • In tandem with the strategic department, develops the most insightful strategies and sharpest creative briefs possible.
    • Is the creative/media departments’ most senior contact on a day-to-day basis and as such can add value to briefs, judge work and present to clients.
    • Creates the best possible environment to produce the best possible work. Delegates effectively and appropriately – upwards to the team management as well downwards to his/her reports and to other departments.
    • Manages production supervision in partnership with production department.
    • Line manages Account Managers and is responsible of their growth and development.
    • Getting involved with new business acquisition and pitching

    Qualifications

    • Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma in marketing, communications, advertising or similar.
    • Minimum of 5-8 years recognised advertising agency experience.
    • Has a proven track record of working on integrated campaigns/accounts.
    • Demonstrated solid senior-level client experience and ability to navigate complex client organisations required.
    • Experience in QSR related industry is beneficial.
    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing development a plus.
    • Should have experience in communications/media planning, and ability to articulate examples of strategic recommendations they’ve provided, or sold in to clients.
