    Modern marketing services involve us having resident expertise in areas of social/ digital thought leadership, strategy, execution and implementation, e-commerce, digital influence and more, to drive stakeholder engagement and enhanced customer experience. 

     

    This is a substantial role within the integrated company in Malaysia which comprises Ogilvy and J Walter Thompson Group (which includes Mirum). It is at the heart of the Digital Transformation team and comes with the responsibility of managing existing businesses and growing revenues from current and new clients. The level of the role is also recognised with full-time membership of the combined EXCO, the most senior management group of the agency.

     

    This leader will be responsible for representing Ogilvy, JWT and Mirum in all aspects of digital marketing campaigns across the client business. This person will engage with senior clients, alongside the business, planning, social strategy and content team and creative leadership to manage the increasing expectations of speed, capability and efficiency. The role will involve being a digital suit as well as have abilities of domain expertise. If this person has media, technology or creative/ social creative agency experience, it would be a bonus.

    This is a high visibility, client-facing role based in KL, which requires good presentation, public speaking, coordination, communication and commercial skills.

    Responsibilities

    The Lead for Customer Engagement, Commerce and Marketing Technology will be responsible for owning and driving the following:

    1. The growth of digital specialist services: customer-centric Transformation marketing, customer acquisition, loyalty, e-commerce, social CRM, marketing analytics and marketing technology.
    2. The hiring and nurturing of key specialist talent, priority on Creative, UX/UI, Data and e-commerce.
    3. Accelerate the e-commerce offering 
    4. Develop the creative offer to include, innovation and UX/UI.
    5. Working closely with the key Client leaders on developing upsell and cross sell on client growth opportunities by expanding the offer and selling more domain services. Major opportunities lie within Nestle, Coke, Shell, Huawei, CIMB as well as building potential with large domestic clients.
    6. Lead and Support pitches actively.
    7. Be the major external spoke person on digital transformation
    8. Drive domain specific thought leadership 
    9. Mentoring and reskilling the team where necessary.
    10. Performing the role of integration within the three business units- JWT, Ogilvy and Common clients, along with a mandate on Mirum.
    11. Reporting and collaboration with centers of excellence in the region within Ogilvy, JWT and Mirum, as may be applicable. 

    Reporting 

    This component of the Role reports to Group CEO.
