  • Overview

    The Talent Manager is the person who oversees the flow of work of the HR service to the business. She advises on the best HR practice on mid to junior level employees and where necessary, takes on a hands-on role in dealing with case work of that level.

     

    The broad areas include: recruitment, training, employee benefits, handling grievances, disciplinary action, dismissals, redundancies and work closely with the Finance and Legal unit on employment law compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:    

    • Lead talent acquisition – sourcing, reference checks, offers and employment contracts
    • Lead HR Operations – contracts, policies, payroll, processes and systems.
    • Manage training and development initiatives across organizational levels. Work closely with regional HR Head on identifying and implementing local and regional training programs
    • Policy and procedures implementation of new HR policies, procedures and processes
    • Monitor, identify issues and propose appropriate actions regarding employee engagement & retention including support managers on individual cases of concern or conflict.
    • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, taxation, and other government regulation
    • Work closely with the Finance and Legal Advisors to ensure that line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.

    Qualifications

    • Possess at least a Degree/Diploma in HRM, Business Administration or equivalent
    • More than 5 years of experience in generalist HR, with preferably 2 years in talent management and managerial position
    • Well-versed in Malaysia statutory regulations
    • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and handle diverse issues in a fast paced and dynamic environment
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
    • A leader and team player, self-motivated, resourceful, reliable, innovative and analytical
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Advertising or relevant experience is an advantage but not essential
