Overview

This position, located in the Geometry Ogilvy Japan office, will work with the WPP, Ogilvy Group Company, PennyWise Solutions located in India.

Project

The client is one of the largest tobacco providers in the world & has market-leading position in over 50 countries.

Ogilvy PennyWise is helping client transition from a B2B to a B2C brand through a digital transformation of their brand websites in Japan to better showcase their next generation products and increase market share and supported an aggressive go-to-market strategy focused at member acquisition for the new products.

 

The project entails supporting and enhancing the client’s unified platform, multi-brand, multi-site digital experience portal using Sitecore XP.

 

Platform: Sitecore XP, Microsoft .NET

Database: MS SQL

Reporting Tools: PowerBI, Experience Analytics

Collaboration Tools: JIRA, Slack, Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Primary point of contact with clients, client’s vendors, agency teams (including digital producers and technology project managers) and agency partners
  • Understand and identify what and how we develop system and/or system integration to meet technical requirements based on marketing/action briefs from Client or Client’s agency partners.
  • Manages client objectives, expectations and timelines and communicates changes/directions to internal team
  • Works integrally with all internal team members and develops a high level brief in the form of epics and initiate relevant project backlogs / tickets
  • Able to work with remote technology teams & partners. Able to partner with both local digital producers and remote technology project managers and effectively present work from a delivery standpoint
  • Works closely with Delivery Ops Manager in managing the workstreams
  • Help align workstream priorities based on client business needs and resource availability
  • Works closely with Head of MarTech Solutioning, Digital Director and agency partners in finetuning the requirements and client expectations
  • Owns the workstream prioritization and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to manage and conclude UATs.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have excellent communication skills in English & Business Japanese and be comfortable liaising with multiple stakeholders and work in close co-ordination with the offshore technology team across various timezones to deliver large enterprise builds.
  • 8+ yrs of related, client facing industry experience (consulting, digital agency) managing the technology delivery
  • Has strong technology project / program management experience
  • Understanding of modern marketing experience especially web platform development experiences
  • Experience in working with Agile development methodology
  • Demonstrated capabilities in understanding business needs, and translating business needs into high-level epics
  • Understands how to form strong relationships within the agency, agency partners and day-to-day clients
  • Possess understanding of dynamics and workings of the agency’s process as it relates to client’s business
  • Adept at working in dynamic and fast paced environment
