We’re looking for a full-time world-class Senior Motion Designer / Design Director with 7 – 10 years' experience to join our international, multi-award winning, team in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

  • You are a trailblazer: you will work with our Creative Directors to create innovative new design ideas in the world of branding.
  • You’re a designer at heart, you thrive on coming up with innovative design ideas and can effectively communicate them through images, storyboards, and videos
  • You are also an experienced generalist 3D and 2D Motion Designer with deep skills in Cinema 4D and AfterEffects. You could be a Senior Designer working towards stepping up to being a Design Director.
  • You have some experience managing a team or contractors. You have a keen need to do the best work possible and can guide others towards achieving the highest design standards.
  • You are experienced and confident in communicating directly with clients. You are good at presenting and pitching, but also good at listening.
  • You are able to work and think independently throughout the entire production process, taking a project from brief, concept, pitching, to art direction, design, 2D / 3D animation, compositing and delivery.
  • You are excited and driven about learning new skills and keeping up with latest creative technologies
  • Openness in collaborating closely with digital, design, and strategy teams from conception to launch
  • A personality that can work with diverse teams in multiple regions across Asia, and motivate them to grow together
  • Ability to maintain or exceed a consistent level of productivity while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work
  • An ability to convince and compel in English and preferably another language (for e.g. Cantonese / Mandarin)

 

You should have knowledge of:

  • X-Particles, Mograph
  • GPU renderer: preferably Redshift
  • Common AfterEffects plugins: Trapcode Suite, Optical Flares etc

 

Bonus points for experience or interest in:

  • Houdini
  • Unreal and/or Unity
  • openFrameworks and/or Processing and/or TouchDesigner
  • VR/AR
  • 2D Cel Animation
  • Illustration and Design
  • Web development
  • UI / UX design
