We are looking for an exceptional strategic thinker to join one of the best international agencies in the world – Ogilvy as a Senior Strategist. Responsibilities

  • Help create and present thoughtful and provocative brand point of view, creative briefs and communication plans based on deep consumer knowledge and insights, category and brand knowledge.
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of category and competitive activity and keep a finger on the pulse of existing and emerging consumer and cultural trends.
  • Develop partnerships with key members of the client marketing teams with a focus on brand growth, brand health and brand strategy.
  • Expertise in using research and analysis both formal and informal to uncover deeper insights into consumers
  • Bringing to the role an understanding of marketing fundamentals
  • Ability to craft the consumer journey based on available information about the consumer, category and media behavior and usage
  • Collaborate with client solutions, creative and media team to create a robust campaign journey that brings to life the campaign in the most effective manner possible
  • Partner senior members of Strategy, Creative, Client Solutions on the business to develop disruptive ideas and experiences at multiple customer touchpoints that breakthrough in the category
  • Basic understanding of how content and social strategy is designed
  • Articulate the strategy rational and logic in a compelling manner to persuade key clients for strategy work on existing clients and for pitches
  • Lead and manage pitches that agency takes on from time to time
  • Elevate the level of strategic thinking on the business and have growth conversations with the client
  • Design and lead thought leadership initiatives for the agency

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Strategist in an agency
  • Demonstrable experience in leading clients with strategic thinking in Vietnam market
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or relevant area of study
  • Be interested in what motivates people, as well as the changing trends and fashions affecting consumers
  • Driven to go beyond the ‘What’ to uncover the ‘Why’ to create compelling solutions for clients
  • Have strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Be skilled at analyzing research and able to translate this into action plans
  • Be organized and able to think strategically both long and short term
  • Have good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Be able to work with a range of people and as part of a team
  • In terms of soft skills, we are looking for someone who is curious, flexible, has a ‘growth mindset’, loves to learn and has a positive, solution-oriented attitude and above all else, deeply cares about quality of the strategic solution
