Overview

To provide support to commercial finance team through efficient control of finance processes and the timely delivery of effective reporting. To establish a collaborative relationship with the commercial finance teams to ensure that they are given all necessary financial support on a timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and build relationship with client servicing team, ensure billings are generated accurately and on a timely basis
• Work closely with business partners to follow up with outstanding client-related issues, such as aged debtors, accrued revenue, outstanding cost estimates/PO to ensure healthy working capital
• Work closely with shared services team or client’s finance team on overdue invoices to ensure timely collection of debts
• Prepare weekly payment proposals
• Monthly review of Work in Progress (project costs) with the client servicing team to identify and resolve any issues
• Assist in Work in Progress related queries
• Evaluate and understand finance system Maconomy to aid in management process of reconciling jobs and projects
• Preparation of journals including revenue recognition and month end P&L accruals
• Reconciliation of out of pocket expenses on a quarterly basis to ensure that all clients are invoiced in accordance with contractual terms
• Run spend analysis on key accounts as required
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules
• Ensure WPP policies are adhered to around vendor and client creation
• Oversee reporting and follow up of complete timesheet reporting, including sending out weekly reminders
• Assist in preparation of audit samples and other adhoc requests

Requirements

• Meticulous with an eye for detail
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other departments
• Minimum Diploma holder
• Strong communication skills
• Good team player and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Familiar with MS Office applications
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot table and vlookups) and PowerPoint 
• Able to start work immediately or in a short notice will be preferred
