A UI/UX Lead will be deeply immersed in our customer journeys, dedicated to creating their elegant, frictionless experience as they interact with our user-friendly platforms. • Responsibilities
• Primary UX responsibility is to visualize and develop user journeys and interactions mapping and ideate on improving usability of solutions. Primary UI responsibility is to develop next-generation design interfaces for a digital world, in compliance with brand standards
• The primary mission for this role will be to know our customers. Know, and care about, their likes and dislikes, what will improve their experiences, and earn and sustain their loyalty.
• Work closely both with business stakeholders and the development team, in order to make the best, most informed design choices as we strive to deliver for our customers.
• Partners closely with customer research teams to build usability testing scenarios, interview and engage with real customers, form conclusion based on research & provide direction based on these results. Continue to refine our in-house testing lab
• Be able to start with a conversation or a napkin sketch, and produce fully-realized user experiences and workflows – based on best practices, methodologies and tools – so your design and development teammates will be in position to succeed.
• Own and drive the peer review process. Hold quarterly meetings to make the team better through peer review and knowledge sharing. Provide recaps and direction to leadership as a result of learnings.
• Assist on product road maps and feature planning. Partner closely with the product owner team to provide valuable insights on upcoming features to anticipate how future customers will engage with shopping experiences.
• Generate a robust component library. Lead project to establish our React component library, which will bolster UX quality assurance on how components function.
• Mentor, teach & learn. Own being a true partner and mentor for your teammates and peers, along with growing the knowledge base that follows.
• Be in the vanguard of a truly agile, DevOps culture. Be experienced and capable in an agile environment – with client delivery capability


  • Demonstrable ability to define new approaches to complex workflows and user journeys. Ability to bring a fresh look and new perspective to existing interfaces.
  • Ability to find a balance between established brand guidelines and futuristic ideas when approaching UX design problems.
  • Passion for collaborating with other designers, engineers, marketers, project managers, executives and other stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, with a good eye and visual sensibilities. This is not a visual design role per se, but strong instincts for look and feel will be an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • A talent for articulating ideas and presenting your work. Have good instincts for the give-and-take.
  • Enthusiasm for and willingness to absorb AAP's market space, Omni-channel business dynamics -- and, most of all, our customers.
  • Demonstrate an existing portfolio that depicts a history of creating great user experiences.
  • Experience documenting interaction details, visual design specifications and component libraries.
  • Fluency with rapid prototyping and wire-framing tools. (Framer, Proto IO, Marble, Principle, sketch, Adobe etc.)
  • Experience motivating a team to remain on the learning curve and continually improve.
  • Excellent communications skills: written, verbal and visual. The ability to convey and exchange ideas with others is a key to success here.
  • You should comfortable in Git-driven version-controlled DevOps environments. Experience with Jira, Confluence and Atlassian tools in general will be a plus.
  • Ability to handle deadlines, and gracefully cope with high tempos and the attendant stresses, to deliver on time.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field (or with equivalent Industry experience or Academic background). PG-specialization will be a plus.
  • 10-12 years overall experience in e-commerce, CPG, BFSI and Auto companies, either on agency or client side.
  • 7-10 years in respective core roles (UIUX in Apps/Website Dev)
  • Proficiency in managing programs of scale (5-10 mn active customers and above).
  • Experience in multiple Tools  and Platforms in each of their core functions.
  • Experience of mobile and social marketing including Apps is a must.  
  • Experience in Project Management for 3rd party clients or with external agencies is a plus.
  • Exhibit astute commercial & industry acumen.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Self-starter, experience with large teams, takes Ownership.
