Overview

We are looking for a Solution Architect who can help us to drive technical decisions through architectural design, reviews, technical optimizations, security reviews, and other technical discussions. The candidate is required to have experience of designing software architecture and cloud-based solution approach such as AZURE, GCP or AWS. He / She needs to be able to design and develop technical solutions together with the team, ensure the team can deliver in both features and non-feature requirements (e.g. performant, scalable, maintainable, flexible, etc.) He / She needs to coach and train team members to improve the productivity and raise the team’s quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop & implement architect on identified technologies such as for web apps, mobile apps and backend services for delivering both features and non-feature requirements.
  • Define, drive and review best practices for our technical teams, in regard to development process, documentation, coding, product quality, maintenance & support.
  • Evolve the software architecture of our client to incorporate business and technical requirements while ensuring high scalability, security, and performance.
  • Evaluate & drive proposed technical solutions by weighing the risks, rewards and future implications of each decision and recommending the optimal technical path forward.
  • Guide and motivate our engineering teams to continually improve their skills through mentoring, training, pair programming, code reviews and fostering an environment of excellence.
  • Develop time & effort estimates for all technical implementations and track the progress of technical teams from inception through delivery.
  • Identify bottlenecks in our applications/systems and devise solutions to ensure the best possible performance, quality, scalability, security.
  • Support leading and mentoring engineers to achieve a greater level of programming skills.
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to understand the requirements of the business and serve as subject matter expert on technology applicable to develop applications and solutions.

Qualifications

  • University degree, have solid background in computer science.
  • 7+ years of experience working in software development, and more than 3 years in the Solution Architect position.
  • Have experience in developing web and mobile applications. Can provide solutions for high performance and scalability architecture.
  • Have experience in designing distributed systems and architecture design patterns.
  • Have experience of microservices architecture, and container platform such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Have experience of Frontend (JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS, Angular, VueJS, HTML5 / CSS 3), Mobile (iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter), Backend (NodeJS, Java, Go, PHP, Python, .Net Core), Database (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra), Web Server (Nginx, Apache)
  • Have experience of Cloud solutions: Azure, GCP or AWS.
  • Excellent understanding of DevOps/CloudOps and building high-availability infrastructure.
  • Leadership that combines persuasiveness, decisiveness, and competitiveness necessary to motivate a team.
  • Experience with application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Expert experience developing defense systems & mechanisms against cyber attacks.
  • Good understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Good understanding common network protocols: HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP, SMTP, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, gRPC.
  • Excellent hands-on experience with PaaS, IaaS.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
