Overview

Ogilvy is seeking for a data geek that will help our brand to design, implement and execute our client business strategy to track and report usage metrics and observed customer behavior and trends. The goal will lend to learning, analyzing, enhancing and then delighting customers experiences with our client digital platforms. You will report to the Head of Data & Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain and own the successful digital tagging and analytics measurement strategy for Ogilvy’s portfolio of client’s digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and reporting applications.
  • Support all analytical platform implementations (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 360 Suite, Bigquery, etc).
  • Manage the web analytics tag implementation, testing & reporting during the development of campaign landing pages, websites, mobile apps.
  • Support A/B testing via testing platforms such as Google Optimize.
  • Creation of user segments, setting up goals and ecommerce tracking plus analyze marketing campaigns & provide insight in the customer journey (attribution) for conversion funnels.
  • Oversee the analytics code base, data layer, and tag management solution for accurate and efficient data capture.
  • Work closely with various cross-functional stakeholders such as ecommerce, performance marketing, content, technology, product and advertising to capture the data needed to drive business decisions.
  • Help conceptualize, design, build, and automate reports/dashboards that provide insights into Ogilvy’s clients dashboard (e. g. consumption, engagement, traffic). Manage ongoing audience traffic and KPI reporting on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis, delivering insights and recommendations to both business and content teams. Provide data-driven feedback and actionable insights to our content teams regarding content/topic performance onsite & off-platform (social media, video, etc..)
  • As needed, work with developers to communicate what an implementation is designed to accomplish; define JavaScript functions that need to be executed
  • Identify business objectives and map suitable analytics solutions, ensuring that all required performance data can be reliably tracked and reported
  • Build ecommerce & subscription analytics dashboards, leveraging GA, as well as other reporting tools

Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Fluent English
  • 5+ years of Web Analytics/BI experience working with development teams, marketing teams, executives, and product managers.
  • Google Analytics 360/Google Tag Manager 360/Google BigQuery expertise is a must.
  • In-depth understanding of website, app, ecommerce and subscription metrics and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Tableau, R or Python, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Regular Expressions.
  • In-depth experience working with tag management platforms and data layers

 

Desirable:

  • Data Engineering experience a plus.
  • Google Analytics Certified a plus. Tag management certification also a plus.
  • Basic understanding of HTML & ability to troubleshoot code.
  • Data Management Platform (DMP) experience a plus
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms such as Google Optimize a plus
