Overview

Superunion is looking for a Client Director to add to its team. In this full-time role based in Hong Kong, we’re looking for:

 

  • An individual who can independently manage branding projects and build sustainable client relationships with confidence
  • Working experience in professional services and other B2B industries, and in particular, knowledge and understanding of financial services
  • A clear and rational thinker who can propose working approaches and deliverables that help our clients solve their brand and marketing challenges
  • Commercially savvy with business and operational management skills 
  • A personality that can work with diverse teams and motivate them to grow together with the company

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, Asia, your primary focus will be to independently run brand and marketing projects for our biggest financial services clients across Asia. This role will require you to offer sound recommendations on all things marketing, including:

 

Project Planning & Management

  • Be the account lead and provide hands-on branding, design, communications and project planning advisory on a day-to-day basis
  • Prepare accurate and detailed briefs and status reports to align the expectations of internal and external teams 
  • Drive the momentum of new and on-going projects by taking briefs, managing resources between the client, internal teams and external partners, organising brainstorming sessions, creating and consolidating pitch deliverables, preparing project plans, budgets and timelines, and presenting work to client leadership

 

Relationship Management

  • Manage relationships with key account stakeholders, including senior client leads at the local, regional and global levels, and Superunion’s own teams in Hong Kong, New York and London
  • Use strong commercial sense in maintaining sustainable relationships with WPP’s network agencies and Superunion’s other partners 
  • Work closely with regional management team to optimise operations

 

Content Development

  • Create content frameworks with the strategy and creative teams to guide and/or create relevant, timely and engaging content for consumption by financial services clients

 

Project Finance

  • Manage the long-term sustainability of Superunion’s crucial retainer accounts
  • Take responsibility for regular internal reporting of project and billing statuses

 

Personal Management

  • Grow junior team members through day-to-day coaching and support
  • Be demanding of high standards in detail, critical thinking, presentation and project deliverables
  • Take personal pride in work

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in a related field including branding, PR, agency marcoms or client-side marketing 
  • An ability to convince and compel in English and Cantonese 
  • All-round experience of brand and integrated marketing (for example, strategic brand models, messaging and tone of voice, design, social media, client workshops, etc.) to deliver unified content campaigns
  • An inquisitive mind that asks the right questions, and a resourcefulness to carry out the solution-building process 
  • Good analytical skills – able to simplify complex problems or processes into component parts, and explore and evaluate them systematically 
  • Able to think laterally and identify connections between projects, trends and emerging issues 
  • Attention to detail whilst also being able to maintain an objective and strategic perspective 
  • Able to deliver client presentations and facilitate workshops 
  • Take responsibility, think on their feet, and stand up for their work with pride and gravitas
  • Bachelor degree or above 
  • Mastery of PowerPoint, Keynote and Word
